MORTON -- Mary E. Rediger, 94, formerly of 509 N. Second St., died at 7:10 p.m. Saturday, July 3, 2004, at 140 W. Crestwood Drive, Morton.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Morton Community United Church of Christ, with the Rev. James Shelton and the Rev. Laura Shelton officiating. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens, Pekin.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Ludwig Mortuary and from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Wednesday at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Morton Community United Church of Christ, of which she was a member, or to the Methodist Medical Center Hospice Program.

Born March 30, 1910, in Lancaster, Ohio, to Henry and Lillian Linn Augsburger, she married Ezra J. Rediger Dec. 20, 1928, in Pekin. He died July 11, 1981.

She also was preceded in death by one infant daughter, Lillian R. Rediger, on Dec. 28, 1929; four sisters; and five brothers.

Survivors include three daughters, Norma (Harland) Runyon and Ruth (Carl) Uhlman, both of Tremont, and Kay (Fred) Fisher of Morton; one son, Jon (Barbara) Rediger of Morton; 19 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Ruth (Jay) White of Blue Ridge, Ga.

She was a waitress at the 150 Club and Cliftwood in Morton and a Tupperware dealer.²

     L. Helen Augsburger was born in 1905. She was the daughter of Albert Augsburger and Bertha Carlson.
