     David Schertz married Anna Rosche, daughter of Christophe Rusche and Anne Pelsey. David Schertz was born in 1786.^1,2 He was the son of John Schertz and Anna Engel. Schertz, Emanual E., son of David and Phoebe (Imhoff) Schertz, was born at Eureka, Ill., Apr. 6, 1891; died of heart failure at Eureka Hospital, Eureka, Ill., Nov. 9, 1975; aged 84 y. On Jan. 15, 1914, he was married to Ella E. Ulrich, who preceded him in death on Sept. 1, 1957. Surviving are one daughter (Evelyn Zehr), one brother (Chris Schertz), and 2 sisters (Esther Mrs. Frank Harnish and Mathilda Mrs. Emanuel Ulrich). He was a member of the Roanoke Mennonite Church, where funeral services were held on Nov. 11, in charge of Moses Slabaugh and Robert Harnish; interment in Roanoke Mennonite.

     Lloyd D. Schertz was born on 25 April 1905 at Metamora, Woodford, Illinois, USA.¹ He was the son of August William Schertz and Emma Ulrich. Lloyd D. Schertz married Clara Kathryn Zehr, daughter of Daniel Peter Zehr and Mary Ann Birkey, on 7 February 1933 at Eureka, Woodford, Illinois, USA.¹ Lloyd D.      Sophia Schmidt was born on 9 May 1847.¹ She married John Gerber, son of John Gerber and Catherine Oyer, on 12 April 1871.¹ Sophia Schmidt died on 18 September 1931 at age 84.¹

     Rosina Schmucker was born on 19 August 1864 at Berne, Adams, Indiana, USA. She married Simon Wagler, son of Peter Wagler and Catherine Rediger, on 6 October 1885 at Sterling, Rice, Kansas, USA. Rosina Schmucker died on 23 April 1943 at Hutchinson, Reno, Kansas, USA, at age 78.
