Orendorff, Joseph, son of Joseph and Barbara (Steinmen) Orendorff, was born in Waldo Twp., Ill., April 10, 1881; died at his home Sept. 18, 1965; aged 84 y. 5 m. 8 d. On Dec. 12, 1905, he was married to Katie Beller, who survives. Also surviving are 2 sons (Dale and Lyle), one daughter (Mae-Mrs. Clarence Imhoff), one sister (Mrs. James Posar), 10 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. Two brothers and one grandchild preceded him in death. He was a member of the Waldo Church, Flanagan, Ill., where services were held Sept. 21, in charge of Earl Sears.

      Eigsti.-Daniel, son of Joseph and Susan Eigsti, was born in Tazewell Co., Ill., Feb. 14, 1861; died at his home in Flanagan June 2, 1936; aged 75 y. 3 m. 19 d. He accepted Christ as his Savior and united with the Mennonite Church, and ever remained faithful. In the year 1882 he was united in marriage to Lizzie Steinman of near Flanagan. This union was blessed with 6 children-2 daughters and 4 sons. The oldest daughter died in infancy. The children were quite small when the mother was taken to her eternal home on July 25, 1897. On Oct. 5, 1910 he was united in marriage to Mrs. Barbara Yoder, a sister of his former wife, who survives. Besides his companion he leaves 1 daughter (Susie, wife of Wm. J. Schertz), 4 sons (Sam and Will of Flanagan, Edward of Gridley, and Noah of El Paso), 1 brother (Samuel of Kansas), 2 sisters (Mary Kauffman, Manson, Ia; Lydia Saltzman, Flanagan, Ill.), 15 grandchildren, besides a host of other relatives and friends. His seat at church services was seldom vacant when health and weather permitted. His quiet and congenial disposition won for him many friends. He had been ailing the past year, but was able to be up and around. He became suddenly ill on Tuesday evening with heart failure. Just before he passed away he said, "Just as well now as any time" and peacefully fell asleep. Funeral services were held at the Waldo Church conducted by Bro. D. W. Slagel and Bro. J. D. Hartzler. Burial in Waldo Cemetery.

      Troyer, Mary M., daughter of Joseph and Lydia (Kurtz) Yoder, was born in Lagrange Co., Ind., Oct. 27, 1864; passed peacefully away at the home of her son, Chauncey Zook, near Fairview, Mich., Oct. 11, 1954; aged 80 y. 11 m. 15 d. In 1882, she was united in marriage with Menno S. Zook, to which union 3 sons and one daughter were born. Two sons, in infancy, her husband, in 1925, and her daughter (Clara) in 1939 preceded her in death Surviving are her son (Chauncey), 16 grandchildren, 62 great-grandchildren, 21, great-great-grandchildren, and one half sister (Ida Yoder Posser). She is the last of a family of 5 children, but many nieces and nephews remain. On Sept. 12, 1928, she was joined in marriage to Emanuel S. Troyer, Mio, Mich., who at the time had a grown family of 11 children. Nine of these children are still living, and a large number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. After his death, June 8, 1946, she went back to her old home to live with her son, Chauncey, and family. She accepted Christ and joined the Mennonite Church in her youth, and was a devoted church worker. Funeral services were held Oct. 13 at the Fairview Mennonite Church by Harvey Handrich and Menno Esch with burial in the Fairview Cemetery.² Mary M. Yoder was born on 27 October 1864 at LaGrange, Indiana, USA.^2,1,3 She was the daughter of Joseph Yoder and Lydia Kurtz.¹ Mary M.
